According to him, in ancient times around the year 1967, this cave became a refuge and hiding activists and sympathizers of the Communist Party of Indonesia. After walking about 100 meters, we can find a large pillar, which was named in a timber, which stretches across the top, the pillars were named Stone Studio Tretes. Indeed UmbulTuk cave have many large pillars, which formed from the meeting between stalagmites and stalactites. Carrying more than ten names given to these pillars, the average sized with a unique and distinctive, including named Sanggabuana stone, Purbaya stone, and so on.
After running back as far as 500 meters in the river basin in the cave, we can find rooms to dry on land which is not flowing river water. Inside this cave there is a lot of room / space that can be filled about 200 people. Presumably this is where the activists sympathizers of the communist party would hide.
Tumpakkepuh the past history of the village of UmbulTuk cave indeed bleak. But since 1992, the local government turned it into a tourist potential. UmbulTuk cave began to be developed into tourist rides through the cave adventure. Residents have prepared guides that can deliver the tourists.
